PSU Salary Structure 2017 For Graduate Engineers, Executive Trainees, Officers, Assistant Officer

PSUs offer different position to engineers with different salary structure. Being government owned organization working in PSUs has benefits like Dearness Allowance, CPF, Gratuity, Social Security Schemes, Pension, Medical benefits etc. PSUs apart from providing a secure job environment and much scope to grow also provide handsome salary, posts like a management trainee or an engineering graduate can easily draw up to five to twelve lakhs as an initial salary package in PSUs.

Candidates selected as Engineers/ Officers will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 24,900/- per month. In addition, the selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time.


BHEL - 2017
Post : Engineer trainee
CTC : 8,00,000
Scale : 20,600-46,500

Candidates joining BHEL as Engineer Trainees will undergo training for one year. During training period, basic pay of Rs 20,600/- in the scale of pay of Rs 20,600-46,500/- will be paid. After successful completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Engineers in the scale of pay of Rs 24,900-50,500/- with a basic pay of Rs 24,900/-


GAIL - 2017
Post : Executive Trainee

Scale : 24,900 – 50,500

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.24,900 – 50,500/- at the Basic Pay of Rs.24,900/- during one year training cum probation as Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. On successful completion of their Training cum Probation Period, they will be absorbed in the same Pay Scale of Rs.24,900 – 50,500/- in E-2 grade


PGCIL - 2017
Post : Executive Trainee
CTC : 14,90,000
Scale : 24,900 - 50,500

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 during the one-year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer. The approximate CTC per annum is :

  • During Training : Rs. 8.5 lakhs
  • After Training : Rs. 14.9 lakhs

HPCL - 2017
Post : Graduate Engineers
CTC : 10,73,000
Scale : 24,900 – 50,500

Besides Basic Pay,24,900 – 50,500 the employee is entitled to allowance at 50% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach (including medical benefits for self and family members), Dearness Allowance, HRA and retiral Benefits up to 30% of Basic Pay & DA which include Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Superannuation Benefit applicable as per Corporation’s policy in force at that time. The candidates called for joining will also be entitled for joining benefits as applicable to their salary grade.


BEML - 2017
Post : Management Trainee

Scale : 16,400 - 40,500
  • Selected candidates will be placed on a starting basic pay of Rs.16,400/- pm in the pay scale of Rs. 16400 – 40500 during their training period.
  • Apart from above, Dearness Allowance and applicable allowances under cafeteria will also be payable as per Company Rules.

Selected candidate will be placed in scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500 at the basic pay of Rs, 24900/- during one-year training.


NLC - 2017
Post : Executive Trainee

Scale : Rs.20600-3%-46500

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.20600-3%-46500 (E-2 Grade) and offered attractive compensation package (CTC approximately ranging from Rs.9.05 Lakhs to 9.65 Lakhs per annum).


HAL - 2017
Post : Management Trainee / Design Trainee

Scale : 16,400-40,500
  • On successful completion of the training, the Trainees would be absorbed as Engineers in the Grade-II Scale of Pay of Rs. 16,400-40,500/-.
  • On absorption, the candidate will be eligible for Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance, other Perks & Allowances under Cafeteria system, Company Accommodation / House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay (variable pay), Leave, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Gratuity.

BPCL - 2017
Post : Management Trainee
CTC : 14,20,000
Scale : 24,900 - 50,500

Candidates selected as “Management Trainee” would be normally placed in Job Group “A”, with a basic salary of Rs. 24,900/- (Scale of Pay Rs. 24,900 – Rs. 50,500). In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) based on IDA pattern is payable. House Rent Assistance, if applicable will vary based on the class of city of posting.


ONGC - 2017
Post : Assistant Executive Engineer, Chemist, Geophysicist, Programming Officer

Scale : Rs. 24,900-50,500

The selected candidates will be places in the pay scale of Rs. 24,900-50,500 with an increment of 3% per year. Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to allowance @47% of Basic Pay Under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA/Company Accommodation etc.
